Invitation for proposals and suggestions regarding drafting of the Air Protection Program in Serbia with an Action Plan

April 19, 2021

The first conference, which presented the initial steps in the process of drafting the Air Protection Program in the Republic of Serbia with an Action Plan, developed with the support of the European Union under the IPA 2014 project "EU for a better environment - Development of a framework for harmonization with EU legislation in areas of air, chemicals and horizontal issues" was held on April 16, 2021.

The draft Air Protection Program will define air quality goals and measures for their achievement, will provide a basis for further development and adoption of bylaws, as well as the continuation of the application of European legislation in the field of air protection in the Republic of Serbia. The aim of the first conference was to acquaint all interested participants, bodies and organizations with the initial steps as well as to enable transparent access and active participation in the further stages of drafting this important document.

The current status of the Draft Air Protection Program in the Republic of Serbia with an Action Plan was presented at the conference, as well as the types and results of modeling air pollutants with existing and additional measures. Presentation of scenarios and results of modeling air pollutants for Serbia 2030 (WEM, WAM-A, WAM-B, WAM-C) were achieved with the help of experts on the EAS 3 project (CITEPA, INERIS, Expertise advisors and Alternative consulting).

We invite you to get actively involved and in the next 15 days send your suggestions, proposals and recommendations to a special open email for communication: PZV-sugestije@eas3.rs, and these shall be taken into consideration in the further stages of drafting the Air Protection Program.
