The Second Conference for the development of the draft Programme of Air protection of the Republic of Serbia with Action plan will be held on Friday

The Second Conference for the preparation of the draft Programme of Air protection of the Republic of Serbia with Action plan will be held on Friday, 10 September 2021, starting at 10 am in the “Falkensteiner” Hotel in Belgrade. All interested parties will have the opportunity to participate through the Zoom platform.

The Conference will be the occasion to present air quality in Serbia until 2030, including emission reduction and results of the dispersion modelling for three mitigation scenarios, investments needed for the implementation of measures to improve air quality until 2030 and their cost-effectiveness for all three mitigation scenarios. In addition, a stakeholder-led multicriteria analysis will be launched for all three scenarios.

The draft Programme of Air protection of the Republic of Serbia with Action plan, currently being drafted with the European Union’s support through the IPA 2014 Project “Additional development of EU environmental approximation for Air, Chemicals and Horizontal acquis”, will define air quality objectives and measures for the achievement thereof, and will provide a basis for further drafting and adoption of bylaws and continuation of implementation of European legislation in the area of air quality.
